Jorn van Hoorn
Jorn van Hoorn (1982) started painting in 1999. Over the next few years, he transitioned from a recently graduated art student (Sint Lucas) to a versatile artist and a television personality for the public broadcaster BNN. In 2018, Van Hoorn won the Street Art Award (category: Most Inventive).
He held his first solo exhibition at the age of 19 at Kuijpers Gallery. Shortly after, he participated in other exhibitions both abroad and in the Netherlands, including a musical exhibition at the Van Der Togt Museum in Amstelveen.
Van Hoorn's unique style transforms everyday objects into a different perception of reality. He employs materials that act as a catalyst, adapting to the speed of his thoughts and work—a whirlwind leaving behind traces of paint, clay, and graffiti. He prefers to create sculptures centered on love, beauty, and transience.
